Intentions

Faced with legal developments, in particular with the "Avenir professionnel" law of September 5, 2018, Carrefour wanted to strengthen its approach to combating sexism and harassment in the workplace. the Training Center wanted to set up specific training for employer and CSE referents; but also for all employees. Carrefour also wanted to consolidate its internal procedures and adapt training tools to this new context.

Actions

Since 2020, Accordia has been supporting Carrefour in rolling out its policy to prevent and combat sexist and sexual violence in the workplace, which focuses on several areas:

  • Structuring the procedure: Accordia worked with Carrefour to revise and consolidate their procedures for reporting sexual harassment and gender-based harassment, incorporating clear processes for assessing and managing reports.
  • Harassment referral training: A tailor-made training course was designed for employer and CSE referrers. This training provided the necessary skills to deal with legal issues and to apply a procedure adapted to Carrefour.
  • E-learning on the prevention of sexism and sexual harassment: Accordia has adapted its existing e-learning training module to meet Carrefour's specific needs. The module includes customized scenarios with settings and characters reflecting the Carrefour environment.
  • Document production: Accordia has produced a series of documents and guides, including a guide for referents, to help them in their mission of informing and raising awareness among employees.
