Psychosocial risks (PSR) are defined as risks to the mental, physical and social health of workers, caused by employment conditions and organizational and relational factors likely to interact with mental functioning. More precisely, they are elements that affect the physical integrity and mental health of employees within their working environment.

The prevention of RPS is a legal obligation for employers, in accordance witharticle L4121-1 of the French Labor Code. It requires a global approach involving all company players, including training, awareness-raising, the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures, and regular communication with employees.
