Moral harassment is defined by the French Labor Code as the repeated imposition on a person of comments or behavior likely to adversely affect his or her living conditions. This phenomenon often results in a deterioration in the victim's physical or mental health, and constitutes an offence. Moral harassment can take the form of insults, mockery, isolation or overwork, creating a hostile working environment.
