Decision-making biases
Decision-making biases are cognitive distortions that influence our judgment and choices, often unconsciously, leading us to make irrational or erroneous decisions. These biases are mental shortcuts that our brains use to process information quickly, but which can lead to errors of interpretation and analysis. They manifest themselves in particular when we need to act quickly, when we prefer to stay in our comfort zone, or when we are repeatedly exposed to certain information. Decision-making biases can be linked to our emotions, past experiences, prejudices or perceptual and attentional limitations.
